Mark Harmon, 69, is currently starring in his 18th season of NCIS as Agent Leroy Gibbs. However, fans of the actor have been left wondering if he has any relation to another famous Harmon – Angie Harmon, 48, who played Detective Jane Rizzoli in the show Rizzoli & Isles.
Is Mark Harmon related to Angie Harmon?
Both Mark and Angie are known for their stellar performances in American crime dramas.
The former has been playing Gibbs on NCIS since 2003, making him one of the longest-appearing stars on the show.
, on the other hand, appeared in Rizzoli & Isles between 2010 and 2016 as well as playing Abbie Carmichael in Law & Order.
Given their shared surname, many have wondered whether the pair are siblings or even father and daughter.

He has lived in California most of his life, attending university there before choosing it as his home.
Mark is married to fellow actor Pam Dawber, who appeared alongside Robin Williams in Mork and Mindy.
Together, they have two sons called Sean Thomas and Ty Christian.
Contrarily, Angie was born in Highland Park in Texas in 1972.

Her mother was Daphne Demar and her father was a hospital executive called Larry Harmon.
She grew up in the state before she began her career in show business as a model.
In an episode of the heritage programme Who Do You Think You Are?, the star found out she had a German ancestor who had served under George Washington.
Her mother is of Greek descent while her father has German and Irish ancestry.
Angie was previously married to NFL player Jason Sehorn.
