Sterling K. Brown, Zazie Beetz and Alexandra Daddario have been cast in Adam Scott’s feature directorial debut Double Booked.
The Severance actor will direct, produce and star in the thriller alongside the Oscar nominee, Joker actress and The White Lotus star.
In a statement to Deadline, Scott described Double Booked as an “audacious, crowd-pleasing, white knuckle thriller”.
“I’d been looking for something to direct for years, and Double Booked checked all the boxes,” he added. “Along with our unbelievable cast, I can’t wait to make it and share it with the world.”
Scott will play a successful self-help writer who goes on a getaway to a remote cabin with his heavily pregnant wife, played by Beetz. However, when they arrive, they discover another couple – portrayed by Brown and Daddario – are already there.
Trapped together by a blizzard, a system error spirals into a nightmarish game of deception and peril.
“Double Booked is a taut, edge of your seat revenge thriller full of twists and turns that ratchets up the tension scene by scene,” said Dave Bishop, the CEO of Protagonist Pictures. “Adam has assembled a truly stellar cast to bring his vision to life and his fresh take on a beloved genre will resonate with audiences around the world.”
Scott is directing from a script by David Levinson. He is also producing the project with his wife Naomi for their Great Scott Productions banner.
The Step Brothers actor has previously directed episodes of The Greatest Event in Television History and Parks and Recreation and the 2011 short film The First A.D.
